Susan “Sue” Cardin is a Vice President and Branch Manager with First State Bank who can be found managing our newest location in Gun Barrel City.  She joined First State Bank in January of 2005 with 19 years banking experience, including expertise in all aspects of lending compliance.

Prior to moving to Texas, Sue was a resident of Colorado where she was a Vice President and Senior Lending Officer for the First National Bank of Lake City, a national bank that also elected her to serve on their Board of Directors.  Before entering the banking profession, Sue spent three years helping clients buy and sell real estate as a real estate agent and worked at Unifirst Mortgage in Grand Junction, Colorado for three years.  

Sue attended the Western States School of Banking while it was located at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.  She has served as President of our local Habitat for Humanity chapter for the past three years and has been on the board of directors for five years. She has also serves on the Cedar Creek Lake Chamber committee for Gun Barrel City.

Sue and her husband enjoy living in their lake house on Cedar Creek Lake in Malakoff.
