Luke Lemons is a Vice President and Commercial/Real Estate Lender with First State Bank in the Downtown Athens location.  He comes to FSB with 10 years of banking and lending experience in North Texas, all with the same bank that he grew up working summers for in his hometown of Nocona.  Luke started his banking career as a teller, running proof, and working in credit analysis before becoming a lender.  His experience serving in both rural and urban markets has allowed him the opportunity to serve many types of customers.

Luke earned his BBA from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls and completed his Masters of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University.  He has also completed further banking education through the Texas Bankers Association, having completed the TBA Commercial, Mortgage, and Agriculture Lending Schools.

Having grown up in rural North Texas, Luke understands the benefits and joys of living in a close knit community like Athens.  In the past, Luke has been involved in his local Rotary Clubs, served on Spirit of Christmas councils, helped teach financial literacy courses, completed the Northeast Tarrant Leadership Program, and was a board member with the Decatur Chamber of Commerce.  Luke and his wife Lindsay have made their home in Athens with their infant daughter London Claire.  They enjoy sports, music, and travel.  Luke also enjoys playing the guitar, fishing, hunting, and is an avid golfer.
